Mr. Baker is a top prize winner of numerous national and international violin competitions including the world-famous Tchaikovsky Competition in Russia, and has performed as soloist with the Boston Pops, the Moscow Philharmonic, the Stockholm Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony and numerous other major orchestras. He is currently the violinist of The Amadeus Trio, one of this country's most celebrated classical music ensembles.

Mr. Baker has engaged three of Kentucky's finest classical artists to create THE CARNEGIE QUARTET, an ensemble that is unsurpassed in artistic quality.

In addition to your formal ceremony the Quartet would also be delighted to perform for your reception. Described in a recent review as "second to none in this listener's memory,” violinist Timothy Baker has appeared as soloist with the Moscow Philharmonic, National Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Boston Pops, Stockholm Radio Orchestra, Miami Philharmonic and the Dallas Chamber Orchestra among others. In addition to his acclaimed orchestral engagements, Mr. Baker frequently performs solo recitals and appears regularly as a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Amadeus Trio.

Mr. Baker remains in demand as a concertmaster for network television specials as well as for engagements by some of the world’s most famous artists. He has performed as concertmaster with orchestras throughout the United States as well as for CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, and cable television specials, Hollywood movies, and the Grammys.

Timothy Baker has also been a collaborative artist and concertmaster with such performers as Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Pavarotti, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Michael Bolton, Randy Travis, Smashing Pumpkins, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Johnny Mathis, Bono, U2, Barbra Streisand, Victor Borge, Bob Hope, Philip Glass, Mstislav Rostropovich, Rod Stewart, and Dave Matthews among others.

Timothy Baker was accepted as a scholarship student of the famous pedagogue, Ivan Galamian, at the Juilliard School. While a student there, he was accepted into the studios of some of the world's most renowned musicians including Nathan Milstein, Felix Galimir and Robert Mann. In the years following graduation, Mr. Baker won top prizes in the VII International Tchaikovsky Violin Competition, the International Bach Solo Violin Competition, the Financial Federal International Competition in Miami, the International Music Program Competition and the North Carolina Symphony Young Artists Competition.
